What is your job at Grace?
Connections Director
What are your church responsibilities?
I focus on welcoming new visitors to Grace and hopefully getting them connected! I also work to find ways to connect members and people who attend Grace to each other, various ministries and outlets to serve! I help oversee the MOPS leadeship team. Additionally, I often facilitate and / or team teach a 'How to Study the Bible' class using various books of the Bible.
Tell us about your Family:
Russell and I got married in 2010 and then subsequently failed to keep all the promises of kindness, patience, love, honor (basically our vows) and made a big mess of things! Turns out we both married sinners. But God who can redeem and restore all things and bring life from death has done a miracle (through lots of marriage counseling and work) and we are actually happily married and enjoying this leg of the journey!
We have 4 kiddos, Clara (2012), Judson (2014), Lowell (2016) and the best 40th birthday surprise ever, Briggston (2019). He's a sweet daily reminder of the redemption that God has worked in our marriage!

Where are you orignally from?
Smithville! My grandpa's farm is even under the lake! I love this place! After graduating college I spread my wings and lived in Maine and Tennessee both for a few years until I returned to the area to work on my masters at Midwestern. Russell and I lived a couple of other places around Missouri while he pastored. We moved back in 2017, Smithville is home for me and where I love to live.
What is your Education and Experience?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Biblical Archaeology.
I have worked with collegiate ministry in New England through NAMB, been a collegiate Resident Director, Pastor's wife, and a SAHM.
I also currently work part-time for the Smithville School District; as a Parent Educator for the Parents as Teachers program.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
Laughing! Also I love spending time with friends and traveling. I also love meeting with friends (new and longtime) over good coffee & or chocolate! I enjoy taking my kids on new adventures. I like to bake! I often get teased (but it's true) as I'll get super into whatever "the hobby of the quarter" is; could be plants, cutting hair, cake decorating, photography, handwriting, all sorts of stuff that is intense and fairly short-lived!
